Welcome back! One day after the Wellington bash, on Wednesday 30 October was the Christchurch awards party – and it went off!
The southern St. Pierre’s family packed out the South Garden Chinese restaurant for a night of frivolity and recognising their many achievements. The final awards party of the year certainly went out with a bang – there’s no question that the South Island team brought amazing energy to the event!
Each category has awards at both the regional and national level, so even if the overall winner is in another region, each awards party still has plenty to celebrate for their hometown shops! In other words, we celebrate everyone’s efforts every day, because great food depends on teamwork! Check out this year’s South Island winners!
One of the great things about St. Pierre’s awards parties is the mix of the silly and the serious. The Christchurch party had plenty of both – such as this attemped speech by Yoshiaki from Ashburton, winner of the South Island Servant Leader award – while in full Spongebob costume! Apparently it took 24 hours to make, but what a cool result! Just a brilliant atmosphere!
And there were plenty more great costumes – Minnie Mouse, Sailor Moon, No Face from Spirited Away, anime princesses… enjoy 5 minutes of madness with Nick working out the winners!
Christchurch was the last of our awards parties in 2024. Thanks everyone for your efforts, and let’s keep celebrating success every day!
