Welcome back! One day after the Wellington bash, on Tuesday 14 October was the Christchurch awards party – and it went off! 90+ staff packed out the South Garden Chinese restaurant for a night of frivolity and recognising their many achievements. The energy in the room was incredible – just check out the love for the regional Customer Service award nominees!
There was also lots of team spirit on show – the new Yaldhurst shop team all dressed as bananas. Because why not?!?
Each category has awards at both the regional and national level, so even if the overall winner is in another region, each awards party still has plenty to celebrate. In other words, we celebrate everyone’s efforts every day, because great food depends on teamwork! Check out this year’s South Island winners!
It wasn’t just local recognition – the Christchurch team took out some national awards too!
The energy and fun in the room reached a peak with the costume competition! And there were plenty more great costumes – furry tigers and chickens, Pikachus, sushi heads (?), St Pierres road workers, bananas, construction workers… Christchurch creativity never disappoints! Enjoy a minute of madness with Nick working out the winners!
And one last piece of happy news – Christchurch was not the last awards party in 2025! Next up was our first-ever Hawkes Bay event – look forward to the article soon!
