2023 Christchurch awards party!

Welcome back! One week after the Wellington bash, on Tuesday 7 November was the Christchurch awards party – and it went off!

The southern St. Pierre’s family packed out the South Garden Chinese restaurant for a night of frivolity and recognising all their many achievements. The final awards party of the year certainly went out with a bang – there’s no question that the South Island team brought amazing energy to the party!

One of the great things about St. Pierre’s awards parties is the mix of the silly and the serious. The Christchurch party had both – and a soundtrack of cheering, singing and support for fellow shop and staff from all shops as they won prizes! Just a brilliant atmosphere!

Where else would you see Barbie and Ken hanging with Goku from Dragon Ball Z?!?

Awards parties are about celebrating all shop staff, recognising the high achievers over the last year. Importantly, everyone is eligible, not just managers!
We provide individual cash prizes for the runner up and best part time and full-time staff, as well as rising stars, servant leader, specialty manager of the year, shop of the year and overall manager of the year. Categories also recognise shops with the best promotion, second mile service and food presentation.

Regional runner-up Leo from Northlink Bento Bowl and regional winner Kiall from Sydenham Bento Bowl with their food quality and presentation awards
Phillip from Rolleston (runner-up) and Annie from Northlink (winner) with their Best Promoter awards

Each category has awards at both the regional and national level, so even if the overall winner is in another region, each awards party still has plenty to celebrate for their hometown shops! We also have a strong tradition of managers sharing the rewards with their staff, for individual or shop-wide prizes. In other words, we celebrate everyone’s efforts every day, because great food depends on teamwork!

And because our awards parties are not too serious, fancy-dress costumes are encouraged. Our South Island team brought the outfits to match the energy! We had cowboy, gangsters, a fairy, Batman, Spiderman, Harry Potter characters, minions, Olympic judoka, rugby players, mad scientists and everything else imaginable. Enjoy the craziness!

How often do you see Homer Simpson with flowers?
But this is no joke! It’s Yoshi from Ashburton winning the national Manager of the Year award!!!

Time for the coveted Best Dressed awards!

…and more serious awards…

…well, not totally serious…

…and chill…

Christchurch was the last of our awards parties in 2023 – but the events don’t stop! Next are the profit sharing awards – see you all there!!!
