Hey everyone! Let’s look back at our big events of late 2024, starting with the profit sharing meetings. First was Auckland on Monday, 25 November – and what a big show it was!
For the last few years we’ve gone to the JW Marriott Hotel – but now we have 400 staff attending, we need a bigger venue! Happily, the Guineas Ballroom at Ellerslie Events Centre is plenty big enough, central to many shops, and even near our new head office in Epsom.
The beautiful evening provided great views of the racecourse and Ellerslie hills, which plus the yummy food and drinks, meant the atmosphere was bubbling even before the meeting began. Apart from hearing about the company’s performance, profit sharing meetings are a great chance to catch up with friends from other shops!
As well as an overview of the company’s results and profit sharing payments, Directors Nick, Perry and Costa ran through the company’s principles and values, focusing on how they matter in the shop on a daily basis. Growth plans are also a highlight – while we opened four shops last year, the company has big plans for 2025, and the excited murmur in the audience illustrated how keen staff are to be a part of it. One of the great strengths of St. Pierre’s is the close, two-way communication between shops and head office, and this session was yet another example.
As well as speeches from the directors, profit sharing meetings usually feature speeches from fellow staff members about the value of the programme. This year was no exception, with our longest-serving staff member Alfred taking the mic.
But the highlight of the evenings was handing out profit sharing certificates, when we recognise and show gratitude to our dedicated staff. Beginning with the longest-serving team members, everyone received their certificates in groups by years of service. The warm appreciation from fellow staff is always impressive.
So many staff have come on board in recent years, we had to split the first-year members into four groups!
We have so many great photos and news from the other meetings, we can’t fit them all into one article! See you soon with more profit sharing event highlights!
