AUCKLAND PROFIT SHARING EVENING
MONDAY, 27 NOVEMBER

We started with the Auckland gathering on Monday, 27 November. The biggest of our meetings needed a big venue – the JW Marriott Hotel ballroom – to hold the 350+ staff! Unlike the last meeting cycle in March it was a beautiful evening, which meant lots of staff arriving early – providing more time to catch up with friends from other shops! The yummy food and tea went down a treat, and the atmosphere was bubbling even before the main meeting began.

As well as an overview of the company’s results and profit sharing payments, Nick, Perry and Costa ran through the company’s principles and values, focusing on how they matter in the shop on a daily basis. One of the great strengths of St. Pierre’s is the close, two-way communication between shops and head office, and this session was yet another example.

But the highlight of the evenings was handing out profit sharing certificates, when we recognise and show gratitude to our dedicated staff. Beginning with the longest-serving team members, everyone receive their certificates in groups by years of service to take in the respect of their peers. The warm the appreciation – and gasps of surprise at how long some have served! – from fellow staff was impressive.

WAIKATO/BAY OF PLENTY MEETING
MONDAY 4 DECEMBER

After a huge week of three meetings in three cities, there was still no time to stop. The Waikato/Bay of Plenty meeting was held the following Monday 4 December at the Speights Ale House in Hamilton. The intimate, family-friendly venue created a more interactive session, with directors, partners and staff taking the mike to explain what benefits their time with the company had brought to them.

It was also the first time for Ruakura shop staff to attend, underlining the growth of the St. Pierre’s family in all regions, including the Waikato. After the whirlwind opening and steady growth since, it was great to take a moment to thank the staff and partners from around the region who made this big new shop possible!

The venue this year was Sri Thai restaurant in Napier, and the Bay team went out with a bang!

Thanks again to everyone for making the events so special – and for your efforts to make the company the success it is! Here’s to sharing profits with our staff for years to come!
