2024 Auckland awards party!

READ AND WIN! COMMENT > GO IN THE DRAW TO WIN SP MERCH! + CHECK THE WINNERS LAST TIME! DETAILS AT THE END.

Hey everyone! We’ve caught up on the profit sharing meetings, so now it’s time to cover the other big events from late last year – the awards parties! Let’s start with Auckland on Tuesday 22 October. Check out the festival atmosphere, amazing costumes and wonderful prize winners!

Awards parties are serious – but also seriously fun!

Directors Greg, Perry, Nick and Costa ready to go!

The venue was packed and bubbling!

Awards parties are real highlights of our year, and we love bringing the St. Pierre’s family together. The Auckland party was held at the Imperial Palace in Panmure, with around 420 staff packing out the venue. All upper North Island shop staff are invited, and some came from as far away as Whangārei, Tauranga, Rotorua and New Plymouth to the Auckland bash.

Awards parties are about celebrating all shop staff, and in particular recognising the high performers over the last year. A total of 15 awards for a wide range of achievements were awarded, including for part time and full time crew of the year, best service, and best food quality and shop of the year

Yohanes led Rotorua shop to yet another accolade, this year the Partnership Store award

Hiromi from Hastings and Sooin from New Plymouth jointly took out the Servant Leader award

Tony and his team from Bombay were the Auckland Shop of the Year!

The evening culminated with the Specialty Manager of the Year, for bento, seafood and K10 managers, and the $3,500 prize for Sushi Manager of the Year!

Ayessa from Onehunga (and now Auckland Airport) was thrilled to become sushi Manager of the Year!

Some national award winners are based in Wellington or Christchurch, so we’ll post a separate article featuring all the winners nationwide!

What makes our awards parties really special is the mix of the serious (awards) and not too serious (costumes). Fancy dress is encouraged, and some staff go to great lengths! This year’s theme was “animation,” with attendees encouraged to dress as their favourite character from anime, cartoons, or any other animated art form. And did our staff deliver! We saw all sorts of amazing outfits, from geisha to fairies to ninja turtles to maids to Mario to classic anime characters like Kiki and Noface… and just about everything else imaginable!

Enjoy the photo parade!

The Head Office team upped their costume game!

Plenty of Ghibli anime fans around!

And the good news is, there’s more to come! The Wellington awards party was on Tuesday 29th and the Christchurch party on Wednesday 30th October. We’ll be covering those in separate articles – look out for them soon!!!
