Dear St Pierres Family,
This 29 and 30 April, we were proud to welcome all our department managers to Auckland. With 135 people gathering on day one, it was our biggest conference ever! I was reminded again how lucky we are to have fantastic people and teams throughout NZ as part of the St Pierre’s family.
It is so great to see our shop leaders in person and feel your passion for your people and the business. Thank you all for the incredible work you all do at St Pierre’s!
A special thanks to everyone who came from the lower North Island and South Island! The weather made getting here and home tough, but I believe that, together, we made it worth your while. And even getting around Auckland was not easy this autumn.
I would like to personally thank you all for your commitment to the business, and the energy you and your teams pour into creating great customer experiences every day.
The theme of this conference was
“Making the Customer #1.”
Why? Because we believe that everything we do as a company needs to be driven by our customers.
Our success as a company – and your success as front-line leaders – is determined by how much customer satisfaction we can provide. We want to help our shop managers and partners succeed, so we all grow together, and it starts with our customer focus!
The conference therefore focused on how we can create the best customer experience:
- How do we imagine our ideal St Pierre’s store to be?
- How does it delight all five senses, and leave our customers with a smile on their face?
- And then – as a People-First Partnership – how do we empower our people and help them to grow and make this vision a reality?
The conference included awards presentations, head office updates and entertainment – but the highlight was the panel discussions including many of our leading shop managers and partners. The more we share wonderful stories of leadership and creativity, the more we all benefit!
Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be publishing more articles about the conference which recognise and celebrate our people. Look forward to those everyone!
In summary, they say that the success of any company is greatly influenced by the people who work there. As every year, this conference again reminded me this is certainly true in our case.
“OUR PEOPLE REALLY DO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE”
Thank you everyone, from our family to yours!
Regards
Perry Katsoulis

An ideal St. Pierre’s Sushi Store for me is a place where there’s a fusion of Japanese and New Zealand vibes. Very inviting and environment friendly. Like adding some indoor plants for added fresh air.
