Hey everyone! At our awards parties, we recognise our highest achievers. And the best of the best are the Managers and Assistant Managers of the Year. Today, let’s look at our top 4 awards – including the prizes!
Assistant Bento/Specialty Manager of the Year recognises up-and-coming managers in our 35 Bento Bowl shops (and K10 and seafood specialty departments). These are people building their career and business at the same time! As well as the recognition, the winner receives a $750 cash prize.
Assistant Sushi Manager of the Year showcases the managers of the future across all 80 of our shops nationwide. They receive a $750 cash prize, and huge encouragement to continue their journey toward management and potentially shop partnership!
The Bento/Specialty Manager of the Year award highlights managers who show strong leadership, developing their people and by doing so growing their business. We reward our top Specialty Manager with going to meet people close to them – a $2,500 travel prize!
Finally, our Sushi Manager of the Year is an outstanding, people-first manager. Being a successful manager in a public-facing business means above all keeping staff motivated and engaged to deliver great customer experiences.
We reward this brilliant leadership with a $3,500 travel prize!
And don’t forget, both our Bento/Specialty Manager of the Year and Sushi Manager of the Year join our Hall of Fame, forever recognising our highest achievers. We’ve updated the Hall to include the 2024 winners – check it out!
Finally, some years our Manager of the Year awards go even further! We also recognise regional high achievers such as April at Queensgate, our 2024 Wellington Manager of the Year. We’re truly fortunate to have so many talented, committed department people here.
