Welcome everyone. Today our new advertisement goes live – and this is really exciting!
The focus is on FRESHNESS, something which makes St. Pierre’s unique and is a story that needs to be told! Everyday, all our amazing staff – thank you so much! – prepare ingredients FRESH from scratch and create FRESH sushi and bento meals for our customers to enjoy.
We want to tell NZ how proud we are of our fresh food – and therefore, how important your work is! We never take shortcuts on freshness, so we wanted to make sure NZers think ‘fresh, healthy and delicious’ when they see a St. Pierre’s sign… and want to come in now!

General Manager of Marketing Aimee, who drove the ad project, reflected that
“I’m very proud of this ad, as I feel it showcases and demonstrates what we do at St. Pierre’s which is authentic and unique! It delivers this message with personality while maintaining the integrity of what is most important, telling everyone our Fresh Story – what we do and what makes us different. It shines the spotlight on our beautiful fresh ingredients and our perfectly crafted Sushi. The tagline ‘it’s how we roll’ means ‘it’s what we always do’. It says ‘this is the St. Pierre’s way and freshness is what we do inherently.’
We’re proud that St. Pierre’s makes no compromises on freshness, and we believe the ad shows the pride we have in the brand. We hope it will make you proud to be part of St. Pierre’s – and of course, it drives more customers to your store to generate greater sales! In addition, this story-telling and how we communicate this message is to build a stronger emotional connection to our customers.

“The commercial was a genuine team effort between the Operations team, Marketing team and the Onehunga shop staff. It took months of planning, lots of creativity and lots of extra effort. Ever since we started rolling sushi in the early 1990s, we’ve imported authentic ingredients directly from Japan. We’ve always taken pride that we combine the best from Japan with fresh ingredients from NZ, and then prepare them all fresh every day.
This ad brilliantly showcases how the dedication of our Procurement team, Operations team, and especially the shop staff come together to deliver fresh, healthy food to our customers every day. Thanks so much to Aimee and her Marketing team for making it happen!”
