Hey everyone! It’s spring, which at St Pierres means it’s awards party season! Check the poster in store for the date of your nearest party. Before the 4 big events in early October, we’d like to talk about why we hold them and why they’re important in our company culture.
We’ve been holding awards parties since 2006. As the company has grown, so have events, with the 2024 Auckland party attracting 420 people! Our business has grown thanks to the efforts and ingenuity of our staff, so we love to celebrate success together.
Parties are a great way to recognise our top performers, and for staff to showcase their creativity to each other – such as by their amazing costumes! While serving delicious, nutritious food to NZers is serious business, parties highlight that work is also lots of fun!
Awards parties remind us that – even if we work in one shop – we are part of a bigger St Pierres family. As the company grows, the more like-minded people we can meet at events, and more opportunities there are for personal growth!
Above all, awards parties link back to our principles. Based on our Core Value of Everyone is Important, we not only recognise shop managers and assistant managers, but make shop team awards and recognise leading full-time and part-time staff in each region.
And because we are a People-First Partnership, we want to keep the spotlight on our great front-line staff, stress how we provide opportunities for everyone to succeed – and have lots of fun doing it!
In these ways, awards parties are a huge part of the culture of St Pierres. At the People & Partnership Dept, we’re proud to organise events which bring our people together to celebrate and reinforce that culture.
In the buildup to the parties, we’ll be posting more articles about some of the awards. Talk soon, and see you there!
READ AND WIN! Congratulations to Jing Lin from Blenheim Westwood, who won her choice of one $50 WOOLWORTHS VOUCHER or a DOUBLE PASS MOVIE VOUCHER at Hoyts or Event Cinemas for her answer last time.
