Partnership Academy Auckland launch!

Welcome back! On Wednesday 6 March, 35 staff came to head office to hear if the Partnership Programme is right for them. Everyone could ask questions of the directors, Programme managers and area managers – and many did!

Our guests were two very successful partners, Tim and Yohanes, who passionately explained how the Programme was right for them and the positive difference it had made to their lifestyle.

Director Perry’s trademark warm welcome

Tim and Yohanes, then talked about how their lifestyles had improved.

Perry presented the advantages of partnerships, highlighting how committing to the company and local community brings financial and lifestyle benefits. He commented:

“The Partnership Programme is a feature of St. Pierre’s and totally unique. You could say it’s our flagship programme. We took a chance in 2007 doing something no one else had ever done – enabling managers to buy a share of their shop, while still being part of a larger company – and it has worked brilliantly. I believe the programme has succeeded because enthusiastic staff have seen its value and benefits, and wanted to make a commitment to build their future.

There’s no better foundation to a food business than having great people leading shop teams, and our partners are the core of that leadership. As a people-first company, we want to offer pathways for our staff to grow and succeed with the business. We’re thrilled to take the next step, launching the Partnership Academy to offer the benefits of Partnership to more of our people.”

Lots of questions from staff!

Director Costa discussed upcoming new shops and partnership opportunities there. Finally, programme manager Lili, financial manager Louis and people development manager Yasuko provided details of the support head office provides and their roles in the Programme.

But the real value of a gathering is the exchange of opinions and questions. Whether veteran managers or crew, staff were clearly engaged and hungry to learn, riffing on each other’s questions in a supportive atmosphere. The positive energy demonstrated how keen our staff are to embrace the challenge – and receive the benefits! – of becoming a Partner.

And we’re not done yet! We have more launch meetings to come – watch out for more news soon!
