Welcome! On Wednesday 9 July we had one of our biggest openings – Heretaunga Street, Hastings. Our existing Hastings mall location has been strongly supported by the local community. By contrast, Heretaunga is a large suburban standalone site, near two schools and the hospital – and it’s a drive thru!
Director Nick was thrilled, commenting
“It was a fantastic ceremony. We were very fortunate to have the Hastings mayor, Council CEO and many Councillors present. The karakia from Petera Hakiwai was wonderful, and really set the tone for the day.
Customers flocked in after the giveaway, and we’re very proud of the space they found. The large seating area is inviting and comfortable, with more of a restaurant feel.
We’re aiming to grow the market here, and we’re very happy with how the opening has gone.”
Director Costa highlighted the team effort, saying
“This project showed the power of the St Pierres team working together. On opening day, the coordination skill and professionalism of our people made a very busy day seem effortless. No one looked stressed at all.
As well as locals, staff came from Rotorua and as far as Auckland and Taranaki. In particular, Hastings partner Hiromi showed the strength and calmness which really makes the St Pierres magic happen, and of course new Heretaunga manager Ayessa kept the team focused and performing with her calm, positive approach. Thanks to Ayessa’s leadership, I am sure the shop will continue to succeed.”
